West Indies Women beat Sri Lanka Women

West Indies Women recorded a 2-1 series victory over Sri  Lanka Women today by scoring a 33-run in the third and final One-Day International in Dambulla.

After scoring 191 for nine in their 50 overs, West Indies defended their modest target by restricting Sri Lanka to 158 for nine.

Tremayne Smartt led the attack for West Indies with two for 26 from 10 overs.

Jamaica’s all-rounder Stafanie Taylor, Shemaine Campbelle and Shakera Selman supported with a wickets.

Earlier, Campbelle scored most runs for West Indies by hitting 37 from 44 balls.

World rated Taylor was dismissed for 18 while her Jamaican teammate Shanel Daley was not out on five.

The teams will now play four Twenty20 Internationals with the first set for Friday in Colombo.
