WI Women defeat Sri Lanka by 34 runs
West Indies Women defeated Sri Lanka Women by 34 runs in the third Twenty20 International in Colombo today to win the five-match series with two games remaining.
The Jamaican pair of world rated Stafanie Taylor and Shanel Daley starred for the West Indies to give the Caribbean side an unbeatable 3-0 lead.
Taylor top scored with 75 from 46 balls as West Indies, sent in to bat, scored 120 for six off their allotted 20 overs.
Merissa Aguilleira was the next best scorer with 21.
Daley returned to bag a five-wicket haul as Sri Lanka were bowled out for 111 with four balls remaining.
Daley, who earlier scored 15 not out, finished with five for 15 off her four allotted overs. Shakera Selman chipped in with two for 14, while Taylor, Tremayne Smartt and Subrina Munro picked up a wicket a piece.
The fourth match takes place tomorrow night Jamaica time in Colombo.
