Customs seizes cigarettes, Rizla worth $7 million

The Marine Police supported by the Organized Crime Investigation Division (OCID) and the Customs Contraband Enforcement Team (CET) have seized a quantity of uncustomed goods in Kingston.

The Constabulary Communications Network says the items included several cases of cigarettes and Rizla with a street value of some $7 million.

The goods were seized following a joint operation on Septimus Street in Jones Town, Kingston, yesterday afternoon.
 
Three persons have since been taken into custody for breaches of the Customs Act, Consumer Act and the Trade Mark Act.

Their identities have been withheld pending further investigations.
