Al Miller lawyers want conversations with gov't officials subpoenaed
The defense in the Al Miller trial has asked the court for certain records to be subpoenaed including conversations between the popular pastor and government officials.
The lawyers also want records of places Miller attended.
The lawyers say the documents will be used as part if its defense.
Miller is on trial in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court for attempting to pervert the course of justice.
The matter should have started yesterday but was put off to March 20.
Miller was charged in June 2010, after then fugitive Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke was found in his company along the Mandela Highway in St Catherine.
Miller had allegedly reported that he was taking the former Tivoli Gardens strongman to the United States Embassy when he was intercepted by the police.
