Bolt to compete in Cayman Islands in May
World sprint sensation Jamaica’s Usain Bolt is down to run in the Cayman Islands for the first time.
Bolt, the six-time Olympic gold medallist and world record holder, will compete in the second annual Cayman Invitational athletic meet in May, at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex.
Bolt will be joined by other world class athletes, including his Jamaican teammates Beijing Olympic silver medalist Kerron Stewart, Olympic 400-metre hurdles record holder Melanie Walker and London Olympic bronze medalist Hansle Parchment.
London Olympic relay gold medalist Chris Brown from the Bahamas is also down to compete.
The second Cayman Invitational athletic meet is set for May 8 and features 12 track and two field events with over 80 professional track athletes.
