The police have confirmed that personnel attached to the Chapleton Police in Clarendon have been interdicted, following reports that they failed to respond to calls for assistance.
The call was in relation to an incident two weeks ago where an ex-soldier, Jason Pryce, allegedly shot and injured his common-law wife and killed her mother in Clarendon.
The husband of the woman who was killed had complained that the shooting incident could have been avoided if the Chapleton Police had responded to several calls to the station.
Head of the Division, Senior Superintendent Michael Bailey, said the interdiction is part of the investigation into the incident.
However, he has not said how many police personnel are on interdiction.
In another incident, there were also reports that the police failed to respond to calls after two children were killed by their father in Trelawny.
Commissioner of Police, Owen Ellington has since chided personnel for turning away people wishing to make reports at various police stations.
Meanwhile, the ex-soldier is expected to face an identification parade today, in relation to a rape allegation which reportedly took place after the shooting.
