Chief executive officer of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica, Sandra Glasgow has resigned from the position, effective April 26.

In announcing the parting, PSOJ President Christopher Zacca said she has spent five and a half years with the private sector lobby group and throughout that time “has worked hard to revitalise the organisation.”

Under her stewardship, Zacca said, Glasgow has revamped the Chairman’s Club and President (now Security) Fora, brought on board numerous projects which have allowed them to widen their expertise as project managers, and introduced a number of creative and innovative initiatives, including last year’s highly successful 50UnderFifty awards programme.

“Without a doubt, Sandra has made a valuable contribution to the PSOJ and her tremendous dedication to the organisation is exemplary,” the PSOJ President said.

“Her quick thinking skills, resourcefulness and excellent knowledge of all things business related will be sorely missed. Her successor will certainly have big shoes to fill,” he added.

The PSOJ said Glasgow has indicated that she will be developing an exit plan and will be working with the staff and the president to ensure that there is a smooth transition for the next CEO.
