Jamaica, Windwards face off in Super50 competition

Defending champions Jamaica will go in search of their third straight victory when the West Indies Cricket Board Super 50 tournament resumes today with three matches in Round 4.

Jamaica, who have won their two previous matches easily, will face the Windward Islands at the Grenada National Stadium.

Jamaica are coming off a sensational victory over the Windward Islands in the Regional Four-Day tournament.

In their previous Regional 50 matches, Jamaica defeated Barbados by 75 runs at Kensington Oval and then secured a four-wicket victory over the Combined Campuses and Colleges, CCC, at Sabina Park.

Windward Islands have secured two victories from three outings.

Their victories came against the CCC team and Guyana, while they lost by 14 runs to Trinidad and Tobago.

The Jamaica, Windward Islands game is scheduled to start at 9.30 in the morning.

The other two matches are set to start at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.

Those matches are CCC playing Leeward Islands at 3 W’s Oval in Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago hosting Guyana at Queen’s Park Oval.

The three matches, were scheduled for tomorrow, but have been brought forward to prevent a clash with the opening Test between West Indies and Zimbabwe in Barbados.
