Trustee in Bankruptcy still waiting word from Carlos Hill

Trustee in Bankruptcy Celia Barclay says her office is yet to receive any documentation from Carlos Hill or his attorneys regarding making payouts to Cash Plus investors.

Barclay told our news centre that while she has heard reports in the media of Hill’s intention to hand over a sum of money to the authorities, she said no such communication has been made to her office.

She pointed out that last October, Hill reached out to the Office of the Trustee in Bankruptcy indicating that he wanted to make a payment.

According to her, he and his lawyers also repeated those intentions in January this year.

However, Barclay says since that time no further communication has been received from Hill or his attorneys.

She says she expects that if any other arm of the Government has any information which can help the Cash Plus liquidation proceeding that it will forward those materials to her office.

Cash Plus went into liquidation in 2008.

Since then the Office of the Trustee in Bankruptcy has been seeking to find Cash Plus assets for liquidation to make payments to creditors.

Barclay says the office is still not in a position to say when a payout will be made to Cash Plus investors.
