TAJ moves to clear printing backlog of drivers' licenses
Tax Administration Jamaica says it has now received materials to print a backlog of driversí licences though an issue with its overseas supplier continues.
The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre reported last month that delays by the supplier was preventing the printing of new licences.
Director of Communications at Tax Administration Jamaica Meris Haughton declined to divulge details about the issue with the suppliers.
However, she says the agency has received sufficient supplies to serve customers.
Haughton says Jamaica procures the material used to print driverís licence from overseas for security reasons.
