Members of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) hierarchy turned out in large numbers in support of the party’s candidate Daryl Vaz at a rally in Buff Bay West Portland last night.

JLP Leader Bruce Golding used the opportunity to blast the People’s National Party (PNP) and its candidate Abe Dabdoub.

According to Mr. Golding, Dabdoub attempted to hijack the country’s parliament by going to court to win a seat he lost at the polls in the 2007 General elections.

The JLP leader was confident that the West Portland electors were ready to once more vote for the party’s candidate to lead the constituency, following last week’s appeal court ruling.
