Ferguson concerned about conditions at KPH

2009-11-02 13:31:05 | (0 Comments)

Opposition spokesman on health, Dr Fenton Ferguson, is again raising concern about the worsening conditions at the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH).

Dr Ferguson says the health ministry has failed to address his concerns regarding the shortage of staff and equipment at one of the country’s major hospitals.

He’s insisting that the deteriorating conditions are compromising the ability of the KPH to deliver quality health care and is also threatening the lives of patients.

He says he has been seeking a meeting with health minister Rudyard Spencer since 2007 on the issue, but is yet to receive a response.

Dr Ferguson wants Mr Spencer to immediately take the necessary steps to address the matter.
