Harry Daley’s case continues

2009-11-03 08:44:17 | (0 Comments)

The corruption case of police superintendent Harry Daley continues in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s court today.

The matter resumed yesterday following a lengthy adjournment.

During yesterday’s hearing, the defence called its first witness in the matter.

Another witness is expected to be called today.

Superintendent Daley has already testified in his defense.

The prosecution is trying to prove that over a period, Superintendent Daley was collecting protection money for a plaza in Ewarton St Catheine.

However Superintendent Daley said the money he was collecting was repayment for a loan that he had provided for the proprietor of the plaza.

The prosecution is relying heavily on video evidence and the testimony of the complainant Tafari Clarke to prove its case.
