NewsNurses, Gov’t wage negotiations continue2009-11-06 08:57:48 | (0 Comments)
Wage negotiations between the Government and the Nurses’ Association of Jamaica (NAJ), are to continue.
NAJ representatives and officials from the Ministries of Health and Finance met at the Labour Ministry for the wage talks on Wednesday. However, the Labour Minister, Pearnel Charles said the NAJ and the government were not able to reach any settlement on the matter. The Labour Ministry is facilitating the talks between the disputing parties after the NAJ and the Ministry of Finance disagreed over the specifics of the wage deal. The NAJ is seeking the implementation of an agreement, which was signed in 2006. Source: Gleaner/Power 106 News Your Comments
