A suspect in the shooting death of racehorse trainer, Donovan Bruce at Caymanas Park two Fridays ago was killed in an alleged shoot-out with the police early yesterday morning in Newlands, Portmore.

It is reported that a police party on foot patrol in Newlands accosted a group of men who opened fire in its direction.

The fire was returned, resulting in the man being killed.

The deceased has been identified as Egg Head, one of three men wanted for alleged participation in Bruce’s death at his stable.

According to a St Catherine South police source, Egg Head was a known member of the notorious Umbrella gang, said to be run by its jailed leader from the St Catherine District Prison.

The gang is considered the most notorious in Portmore.
