NewsJLP Conference to cause several Traffic Changes2009-11-20 13:39:29 | (0 Comments)
Motorists are being advised that traffic changes will be made on Sunday to facilitate the JLP’s annual conference at the National Arena in Kingston.
Before the start of the event Arthur Wint drive will operate as one-way from Tom Redcam Drive to the National Stadium. The upper section of Arthur Wint Drive from Mountain Avenue will be one-way to provide access to the general car park. Roosevelt Avenue will facilitate two-way traffic. The police are also advising that there will be no through way along Arthur Wint Drive from Roosevelt Avenue to Mountain View Avenue. Additionally, Arthur Wint Drive will be barricaded at the junction with Roosevelt Avenue and also above the main entrance to the National Arena. There will be a police checkpoint at this location. Only vehicles transporting supporters will be allowed to turn from Mountain View Avenue on to Arthur Wint Drive. At the end of the conference, Arthur Wint drive will be operated as one way from the arena to Tom Redcam Drive. Roosevelt Avenue will be operated as one way from the Arena to Stanton Terrace, while Latham Avenue will be operated as one way from Roosevelt Avenue to Old Hope Road.
