NewsConsultative Monitoring Committee members named2009-11-25 09:08:25 | (0 Comments)
The Prime Minister Bruce Golding has named Banking Executive, Peter Moses as the Chairman of the newly established Consultative Monitoring Group.
The group will work directly with the Public Sector Transformation Unit, which will spearhead changes in government to make it more efficient. The other committee members are Cabinet Secretary, Ambassador Douglas Saunders, Financial Secretary, Dr Wesley Hughes, University Professor Alvin Wint, Communication Specialist, Jean Lowrie-Chin and Wayne Jones, the Head of Jamaica Confederation of Trade Unions. The Opposition Leader, Portia Simpson Miller is to name a representative to sit on the committee. The members will report to a Sub-Committee of the Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister will oversee the overall restructuring of the public sector. The members of the Cabinet sub-committee include the Finance, Labour and Justice Ministers.
