MVP president Bruce James says following the accident Francis was admitted at the Spanish Town hospital where he had surgery this morning.

Paul is the brother of world renowned Stephen Francis, who is head coach of MVP, the home of former world 100-metre record holder Asafa Powell.

The club is also home of Olympic and World champions Shelly-Ann Fraser and Melaine Walker, along with World Champion Brigitte Foster-Hylton and Olympic and World 200-metre silver medallist Shericka Williams.
