Gas prices increased by almost $2

Gasoline prices are to go up by $1.50 cents as of tomorrow.

The state owned oil refinery, Petrojam, which made the announcement says the increase is due to changes in the US Gulf reference prices.

A litre of 87 gasolene is to be sold for $82.22, while the price of 90 gasolene has moved up to $83.87.

The price of automotive diesel oil has been increased by $0.97 per litre to sell for $80.65.

The price of kerosene moves up by $0.84 per litre and will be sold for $82.44.

However, propane-cooking gas has been decreased by $0.69 per litre to sell for $34.61.

Butane is to be sold for $42.53 cents per litre following a $0.43 decrease.

As is customary, retailers will add their mark ups to the announced prices.
