Melton Williams, Gleaner Writer
Usain Bolt and Veronica Campbell-Brown are among ten Jamaicans who will compete at the Samsung Diamond League meeting in Paris today. Bolt is down to run the men’s 200m, his first race over the distance since he clocked the year’s fastest time of 19.86 to win in Oslo, Norway on June 10. The race also includes his countryman Mario Forsythe and Shawn Crawford of the USA. Campbell-Brown headlines the women’s 100-metre field, which also includes Kerron Stewart and Sherone Simpson. The MVP trio of Melaine Walker, Kaliese Spencer and young rising star Ristananna Tracey are listed to compete in the women’s 400 metre hurdles. The other Jamaicans down to compete are national record holder Jermaine Gonzales in the men’s 400 metres and Kenia Sinclair in the women’s 800. melton.williams@gleanerjm.com Source: The Gleaner/Power 106 News Send your images, videos and updates to youreport@gleanerjm.com | Click here to Comment Your Comments
