Tropical Storm Sean could become a hurricane

The National Hurricane Centre is reporting that Tropical Storm Sean could develop into a hurricane by later today.

It said the centre of tropical storm Sean which was located about 420 miles southwest of Bermuda yesterday, could turn toward the northeast and increase in forward speed between today and tomorrow.

On the forecast track, the centre of Sean is expected to pass northwest of Bermuda tomorrow morning.

Meanwhile, a tropical storm warning is in effect for Bermuda, which means that tropical storm conditions are expected somewhere within the warning area within 36 hours.

Sean is expected to produce 1 to 3 inches of rain on Bermuda.
