St Jago incident highlights education ministry weaknesses says JTA

2011-12-09 12:41:52 | (0 Comments)

The Jamaica Teacher’s Association (JTA) says yesterday’s incidents at the St. Jago High School have once again highlighted the weaknesses in the Ministry of Education’s Safety and Security policy.

The association said the policy is not supported by the necessary human and financial resources.

The JTA said it is calling for the Government to take all the steps necessary to ensure teaching and learning activities are always conducted in a safe and secure environment.

It said communities must respect and protect schools and the school environment.
