NewsSanta Cruz traffic changes for Christmas2011-12-09 12:55:24 | (0 Comments)
The National Works Agency (NWA), says it will be making traffic changes in Santa Cruz St. Elizabeth to ensure smooth flow of traffic over the Christmas period.
The changes are to be implemented on Monday and will remain in place until January 2. Community Relations Officer for the NWA’s Central Region, Howard Hendriks, said a one-way system will operate between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. in the evenings from Monday to Saturday, each week. Resulting from the changes, Main Street will operate as a one-way in a westerly direction, starting at the intersection of Coke Drive and Institution Drive. No right turn will be allowed from Coke Drive onto Main Street. Motorists wishing to exit the town for travel towards Mandeville should use Market Street, onto the Bypass. Motorists wishing to enter the Santa Cruz business district from the direction of Lacovia will have to travel along the Bypass and use Institution Drive as an entrance point. No right turn will be allowed at the intersection of Market Street and the Bypass. The NWA said motorists who wish to travel to Malvern can use Retirement Road or travel to the end of the Bypass, turn right and then left onto Centre Road. editorial@gleanerjm.com Source: The Gleaner/Power 106 News Send your images, videos and updates to youreport@gleanerjm.com | Click here to Comment Your Comments
