Clarendon North Central candidate seeks help from Political Ombudsman
2011-12-17 18:26:30 | (0 Comments)
The People’s National Party, PNP, candidate for Clarendon North Central Colin Campbell has asked the Political Ombudsman Bishop Herro Blair to urgently intervene in the constituency.
Campbell made the request in a letter to Bishop Blair today complaining that Jamaica Labour Party, JLP, supporters used paint to deface one of his billboards in the constituency last evening.
He says he wants the Ombudsman to intervene before there is any further deterioration in the political atmosphere in the constituency.
Campbell claims he has eyewitnesses who reported seeing his JLP counterpart Pearnel Charles near the site of the billboard before the incident occurred.
In his letter to Bishop Blair, the PNP candidate said he strongly believes that Charles can be of assistance to his office in finding the persons responsible.
Several attempts to get a response from Charles were unsuccessful as numerous calls to his mobile phone went unanswered.
