JPS submits revised back-billing policy

2011-12-24 13:11:11 | (0 Comments)

The Jamaica Public Service Company, JPS, has now submitted a copy of its revised back-billing policy to the Office of Utilities Regulation, OUR, for review and approval.

The back-billing policy was one of several documents the OUR asked the JPS to submit close to a month ago.

But a statement released by the OUR last evening did not say if the other items were submitted.

The OUR requested the documents in keeping with one of the recommendations made by the team of independent investigators that probed the JPS’ billing and metering systems.

The OUR has not given a timetable when its review will be completed, but says the JPS will have five days after the policy is approved to incorporate it in its code of practice.
