Police report successful operations so far

The police have reported that their operation strategy for the initial stages of Election Day has been successful.

By 7:00 a.m., 99 per cent of deployment had taken place and by 7:20 a.m., Police personnel were in place at all Polling Stations and mobile and/or foot patrols deployed in every constituency.

The police say, throughout today, they will continue to ensure that peaceful elections are held.
