All set for new school term

2012-01-04 17:23:14 | (0 Comments)

Jerome Reynolds, Gleaner Writer

The acting Permanent Secretary in the Education Ministry, Grace McLean, says all is in place for the reopening of schools on Monday.

McLean says grants and subventions were credited to school’s bank accounts from last December.

She says administrators have been instructed to conduct assessments of their school plants to ensure a smooth opening.

The start of the school term has been pushed back to Monday January 9 because of the December 29 General Elections.

The acting permanent secretary says the missed days will be made up during the Easter break and the next school term.
