The police are now searching for a prisoner who escaped from the Porus lock-up in Manchester yesterday afternoon.

He is 24-year-old Damian Anderson, otherwise called ‘Damian Bryan’ and ‘Dion’ of Bucks Common, May Pen in Clarendon.

The police say Anderson is 183 centimetres or 6 feet tall, of slim build and has bleached skin.

The police say Anderson is known to frequent Bucks Common in May Pen, Clarendon; Pleasant View in Salt Spring, St James; and Darling Street and Royal Flat, both in Manchester.

The police say Anderson is wanted by the May Pen Police for murder, shooting with intent and other offences committed in the May Pen area.

He has also been charged by the Williamsfield Police for burglary, three counts of robbery with aggravation and illegal possession of a firearm.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Damian Anderson is being asked to contact the Mandeville Police Station at 962-2832, Porus Police Station at 904-1786, Police 119 emergency number or the nearest Police Station.
