Manchester bus driver to be charged

The driver of minibus believed to be responsible for yesterday’s tragic bus crash in Manchester is yet to be charged.

The Manchester Traffic Department said the driver, whose name is being withheld, remains hospitalized with broken legs.

The police say he is to be charged with dangerous driving, disobeying the continuous white line and carrying excess passengers.

The driver is accused of wrongly overtaking which resulted in a head-on collision.

A total of 51 persons were injured, the majority of them being students.
