Rasbert Turner, Gleaner Writer
The March Pen Road community remains tense, following the murder of a mother and daughter by a group of gunmen on Saturday. The police say 51-year-old Sonia Gokul, and 31-year-old Indra Gokul of March Pen Road, Spanish Town, St. Catherine were killed by men aligned to the Clansman Gang. It is reported that about 10.45 p.m. on Saturday, both women were at home with other family members, when a group of gunmen entered through an opened door. They reportedly went to the master bedroom and shot the woman and her daughter in their heads. An 18-month-old child said to be the child of murdered gangster Renard "Roderick" Harrison was left unharmed. Police commissioner Owen Ellington said there are indications that the women were killed because it is believed they cooperated with the police. In the meantime, a strong detachment of police personnel remains in March Pen Road. radio@gleanerjm.com Source: The Gleaner/Power 106 News Send your images, videos and updates to youreport@gleanerjm.com | Click here to Comment Your Comments
