The agriculture minister Roger Clarke has disclosed that his ministry is now trying to locate a missing container-load of fertiliser that was earmarked for farmers. Clarke made the announcement in Parliament yesterday, while responding to questions from his Opposition counterpart J.C. Hutchinson. Hutchinson was seeking answers about the halting of a programme, through which fertilisers were distributed to farmers. Money from programme was also used by the former administration for the initiative Growing Resources Obtaining Wealth or Project GROW for short. Under the project, some 1,000 tonnes of fertiliser, pesticides, small tools, among other things, were to be provided free of cost to farmers. radio@gleanerjm.com Listen to Audio clip
