Athletics – Lerone Clarke wins again

Jamaican sprinter Lerone Clarke ran a national record to win the men’s 60 metres at the Aviva Grand Prix in Birmingham today.

The Commonwealth Games 100-metre champion clocked 6.47 seconds, which is also a world-leading time, to lead home a Jamaican 1-2-3.

Nesta Carter was second in a personal-best 6.49, while Asafa Powell finished a disappointing third in 6.50, also a personal-best.

American Trell Kimmons was fourth in a season-best 6.56.
