Big ganja seizure in St Elizabeth

One man is now in police custody in connection with a big ganja seizure in Burnt Savannah, St Elizabeth yesterday.

The police say around 5:30 p.m, a team of police personnel was on an operation in Burnt Savannah, when they came upon a property where several men were reaping ganja plants.

The police say on seeing them, the men ran.

A further search of the area led to the recovery of 300 pounds of ganja.

The police say one man has been arrested in relation to the find, however his identity is being withheld pending further investigation.
