No quick fix to reduce gas prices

2012-02-24 15:32:47 | (0 Comments)

US President Barack Obama has warned that there are no quick fixes for bringing fuel prices down.

Speaking at the University of Miami, Florida, the president defended his energy policy and commitment to clean energy.

In Florida, average gasolene prices have risen to US$3.69 per gallon.

Meanwhile, Obama also hit out at Republican critics, saying their three-point plan to address the crisis would be insufficient without a wider strategy.

Obama is vulnerable to attack in an election year for high fuel prices.
