Traffic cop slams JATOO

Head of the Police Traffic Division, SSP Radcliffe Lewis has hit back at criticisms by Egeton Newman the coordinator of the Jamaica Association of Transport Owners and Operators (JATOO).

Newman has objected to the appointment of SSP Lewis to the board of the Transport Authority saying it’s a conflict of interest.

However, SSP Lewis said Newman’s claim is not justified.

However, Newman is maintaining that the appointment of SSP Lewis to the board of the Transport Authority is ill-advised.

The appointment of SPP Lewis to the board of the Transport Authority took effect almost two weeks ago, and is to continue for a period of one year.
