NewsJLP ready to retake KSAC2012-02-27 18:01:41 | (0 Comments) ![]() Deputy leader with responsibility for the Area Council One Desmond McKenzie- file photo The Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) says it’s ready to battle to retain control of the Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation (KSAC) in the March 26 local government elections. The assertion was made at a press conference today at the party’s Belmont Road headquarters, by deputy leader with responsibility for the Area Council One Desmond McKenzie. He says the party will field seven new faces across five constituencies. Cognisant of the party’s heavy defeat in the December 29 general elections, Mckenzie says the Jamaican populace should re-elect the JLP councilors for their record of performance in the KSAC. According to him, since the JLP took control of the KSAC in 2003, the Corporation has had greater recognition, accountability and visibility. erica.virtue@gleanerjm.com Source: The Gleaner/Power 106 News Send your images, videos and updates to youreport@gleanerjm.com | Click here to Comment Your Comments
