Bus overturns killing boy in Transport Authority chase

A police probe has been launched into a fatal accident this morning involving a 15-year-old schoolboy.

Lennox Lloyd, a student of the Ascot High School was killed when the mini-bus in which he was travelling overturned on West Trade Way in the vicinity of the Maxi Department Store in Portmore, St. Catherine.

Six other students have been hospitalised with varying injuries.

The mini-bus was reportedly being chased by a vehicle being driven by Transport Authority personnel when the crash happened.

The mini-bus, a Toyota Hiace, which was loaded with other school children, plies the Naggo Head to Spanish Town Route.

UPDATE: Police say no chase in bus crash

A team from the Transport Authority personnel which was on the scene was chased away by angry onlookers.
