A district constable who was shot and injured by gunmen in St. Catherine last night has been released from hospital.
It is reported that the cop was shot about 9.30 last night while walking home on Brunswick Avenue, Spanish Town St. Catherine. The injured policeman is a bodyguard of Dr. Andrew Wheatley. The policeman was walking along a railway track when he was attacked by a group of gunmen. They fired shots hitting the policeman. When he returned the fire, the men ran. He was taken to hospital for medical attention.
