Bolt wins 100m in 9.79 seconds

Double world record holder Usain Bolt clocked 9.79 seconds to win the men’s 100-metre race at the Oslo Diamond League meet in Norway a short while ago.

Bolt won ahead of colleagues Asafa Powell and Lerone Clarke.

Former world record-holder Powell powered out of the blocks and maintained the lead until the closing stages when Bolt inched passed him.

Powell who clocked a season's-best in 9.85 to finish second while Jamaican Lerone Clarke finished third in 10.10.
