NewsPortland drought worries Vaz2012-06-13 17:10:22 | (0 Comments) ![]() Member of Parliament for West Portland, Daryl Vaz- file photo He is calling for the relevant authorities to intervene and begin trucking water to residents. Vaz says the local authorities are not able to respond to the needs of residents as there are only two or three contracted water trucks in Portland. He says he has been assisting with the trucking of water through his Constituency Development Fund allotment but due to the severity and scale of the drought greater support is required.
