NewsMen charged for ‘Good Samaritans’ murder to give defence2012-06-16 08:42:06 | (0 Comments)
The Crown closed its case yesterday at the trial of the two men charged with the murder of the couple dubbed the Good Samaritans.
Labourers Andre Ennis and Passmore Millings also called Shane Brown, of Kingston addresses have been on trial since last week for the double murder. When the trial resumes on Monday in the Home Circuit Court they will give their defence. They are charged with the murder of human resource officer Jhanel Whyte and her boyfriend Taiwo McKenzie. Yesterday the 12-member jury heard evidence that the couple's throats were slashed with a sharp instrument and death would have occurred within three to ten minutes. The couple was kidnapped in November 2007 when they went to a location in Havendale, St Andrew, to give medical supplies to a man who was injured in an accident involving the couple. editorial@gleanerjm.com Source: The Gleaner/Power 106 News Send your images, videos and updates to youreport@gleanerjm.com | Click here to Comment Your Comments
