Update: New York woman (not) missing

The Jamaican police say Staten Island, New York, resident Rachel Adenegan, who is in the island on vacation, is safe and in good health.

Adenegan, who arrived in the island last Saturday, was reported missing by friends on Thursday.

The missing person report filed with the Montego Bay Police said the 24-year-old left her hotel in St James shortly after 11 p.m. and was not seen or heard from since.

But in a statement this afternoon, the Constabulary Communication Network said Adenegan left the island this morning for her home in New York.
