Greece, Czech Republic qualify for Euro quarter-final

Greece and Czech Republic qualified for the Euro 2012 quarterfinals after a dramatic evening in Group ‘A’ today in Poland.

Czech Republic beat co-hosts Poland 1-0 courtesy of a Petr Jiracek's second-half strike, while Greece upset the odds by beating Russia 1-0.

Veteran captain Giorgos Karagounis scored for Greece, who claims the second qualifying spot via the head-to-head rule.
