Defence begins argument in Good Samaritan case

Lawyers for the accused in the so-called Good Samaritan case are to begin mounting their defence against their clients’ murder charges today.
On Friday, the Crown closed its case against labourers Andre Ennis and Passmore Millings also called Shane Brown, of Kingston addresses.
They are charged with the murder of human resource officer, Jhanel Whyte and her boyfriend Taiwo McKenzie.
Last week, the 12-member jury heard evidence that the couple's throats were slashed with a sharp instrument and death would have occurred within three to 10 minutes.
The couple was kidnapped in November 2007, when they went to a location in Havendale, St. Andrew, to give medical supplies to a man, who was injured in an accident involving the couple.
