Retired deputy superintendent killed

A retired deputy superintendent of police was murdered at his home in Kyle District in Spaldings, Clarendon last night.


It’s reported that the retired cop, Excel Dias, had been at a bar in Spalding having drinks with friends before leaving for home sometime after 9 o’clock.

It’s further reported that shortly after his Honda Accord motorcar was seen by friends speeding pass the bar.

This aroused their suspicion leading them to go to his home to investigate.

The retired policeman was reportedly found in the garage laying in a pool of blood with several stab wounds.

Dias was rushed to the nearby Percy Junor Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.

His car was discovered at the back gate of the Kirkvine bauxite plant this morning.

The Spaldings Police are investigating.
