Jamaica's senior national basketballers are scheduled to arrive home tonight after winning a historic bronze medal at the 2012 Centrobasket Men’s Championship in Puerto Rico.
Jamaica won the bronze by scoring a 78-54 victory over Panama yesterday at the José Miguel Agrelot coliseum. It was Jamaica’s first medal at the tournament. Weyinmi Rose was Jamaica’s best player with 21 points, while NBA players Jerome Jordan added 17 with 11 rebounds and Samardo Samuel chipped in with 13 points. For Panama, Ernesto Oglivie finished with 15 points, Josimar Ayarza had 13 and Isaac St. Rose scored 11.
