Man charged for killing Trini teacher to appear in court this week

The man charged for the murder of the Trinidadian teacher who disappeared nearly a month ago is to be brought before the court this week.

The police yesterday charged 46-year-old Ivan Taylor of Lindos Hill, Withorn in Westmoreland, for the abduction and murder of 39-year-old Michelle Caudray-Greaves originally of Circular Road, St Madeline, San Fernando in Trinidad.

Caudray-Greaves, who had come to Jamaica to teach Spanish at a high school in Montego Bay, was reported missing to the police on Friday, June 8, and was found in a cane field in St James on Monday, June 11.

The accused is set to appear in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate's Court.
