St. James man identified

The man who was shot and killed by the police in an alleged shootout on Saturday in Camrose district in St. James has been identified.

The police said he is 33-year-old Kenardo Edwards otherwise called ‘Joe’ or ‘Travis Hewitt’ of an Ontario, Canada address.

The matter is being probed by the Independent Commission of Investigations.

The police have said a M4 Winchester Rifle and a Colt AR-15 Assault Rifle, along with several rounds of ammunition were seized during the incident.
