16-y-o among three arrested for security guards' death

Three persons, including a 16-year-old girl, believed to be involved in the shooting deaths of three Guardsman security guards in Negril, Westmoreland are in police custody.

According to the Constabulary Communication Network, the three were arrested during an operation in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland this morning.

Investigators believe that the three firearms a Taurus .38 Revolver, a Smith and Wesson Revolver and fifteen .38 cartridges which were recovered, were stolen from the establishment on the night of the incident.

In addition, several cellular phones, a motor vehicle key, and a homemade handgun were also seized.

The identities of those in custody are being withheld pending further investigations.

It was reported that 40-year-old Sylvia Beckford of Whitehouse, Westmoreland, 31-year-old Judith McCauley, of Cardwell district, Hanover and 33-year-old Bryan Morris of Little London, Westmoreland were found dead at their workplace on Nompriel Road in Westmoreland on Friday, June 29.

It was reported that they had been attacked and stabbed to death by unknown assailants.
