Men charged for Papine killing

2012-07-05 08:54:33 | (0 Comments)

The police say they have charged two persons in relation to a May 12 shooting in Papine, as they continue investigations into recent crimes committed in August Town and Papine in St. Andrew.

Twenty-four-year-old Tiro Williams, otherwise called ‘Jesus’, of Dallas Road in August Town, and 23-year-old Shavez Letford, of Tavern Drive, have been charged with shooting with intent and wounding with intent.

They are scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, July 11.

Williams and Letford were taken into custody on June 20, after investigations revealed that they were among a group of armed men, who attacked a man in Papine on May 12.

Detectives believe that the incident is related to a recent gang-related violence in the August Town area.
